Elif Neyzi is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the newly established BIAA-Bilkent University Joint Fellowship Programme. She received her PhD in Classics at the University of Edinburgh with a thesis entitled \u201cMonasticism in Late Byzantine Constantinople (1261\u20131453): Urban, Social, and Institutional History.\u201d During her doctoral studies, she was awarded fellowships from ANAMED (2017\u20132018) and IAE (2022\u20132023), and served as scientific adviser for the Pera Museum\u2019s exhibition \u2018Byzantium in Popular Culture.\u2019 She is currently preparing her first monograph titled \u2018Byzantine Monasteries of Constantinople: Historical Transformation of an Urban Structure in the Late Middle Ages (1204\u20131453) and working on a podcast series on the reception of Byzantine cultural heritage in T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
