Enrica Bonato(starting Fall 2023)
In 2013, Enrica Bonato completed her MSc in Technologies and Analysis of Archaeological Materials at the University College London (UCL). She then obtained a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Glasgow (2021). Although for the PhD she moved away from archaeological sciences, she deepened her analytical skills in non-destructive and destructive analyses which are very well applicable to archaeological materials. She is specialized in the analyses of archaeological ceramics such as petrography, geochemistry. She also carries out scientific investigations of archaeological materials like metals, glass/glazes, stones and pigments. Her interests extend to the application of a wide range of imaging, X-ray and spectroscopic techniques aimed to learn about raw material sourcing and provenance, production technologies and cross-craft interaction. |
